Straight from our guests’ camera rolls. The hikes, the adventures, the mountain views and the crew. This is what a Dolomites Hike with Salt Escapes actually feels like.
Your Week
Day By Day
Day 1
Welcome to the Mountains
Arrive from 4pm at our jaw-dropping alpine chalet and settle in beneath the mountains. Unpack, explore the chalet, and meet your crew as everyone arrives. We'll ease into the week with some post-travel yoga overlooking the mighty Sassolungo, and chill out time in the spa. Tonight, we gather for our first private chef-cooked feast and welcome chat, where you'll learn about the adventures ahead.
Day 2
Iconic Trails and Rugged Ridges
Kick off the day with a fresh coffee and a pink mountain sunrise from the terrace. After a big Salt Escapes breakfast feast, we'll head out for our first hike. This 10km trail is the perfect introduction to the Dolomites. Expect lush green meadows, pine forest trails and big views without the full summit push. Back at the chalet, it's time to unwind. Enjoy a fresh, nutritious lunch whipped up by our provate chef, the sauna, cold plunge, and a guided yoga and breathwork session. We'll end an incredible first day with a big dinner to refuel ahead of tomorrow's big adventure.
Day 3
The Hero Hike
Today is our biggest adventure of the week. After breakfast, we set off for a challenging hike, made worth it with ever-changing trails and views. At nearly 17km, it's a true test of endurance, but with chef-made snacks for the trail and friendships already formed, the group is ready to take it on together. Expect gorgeous landscapes, dramatic views, and lots of friendly mountain animals to pat along the way. We'll end this adventure at one of the most special restaurants in the Dolomites - a mountain hut with food and views that will make you forget about your tired legs!
Back at the chalet, it's time to put your feet up in the spa, ease sore muscles with a yoga session and get ready for another special chef-prepared dinner and pink sunset over the mountains.
Day 4
Summit and Celebration
We rise early for coffee and a breakfast feast before heading out for our final hike. At 12.5km, it's shorter but steeper, and this climb packs a punch with big elevation and wow-factor panoramic views. Pushing through together as a team, the sense of achievement you'll feel as you complete this hike is like no other! We'll enjoy a chef-prepared mountain picnic before taking the gondola back down to the chalet. We celebrate with a well-earned afternoon of recovery - massages, sauna, ice and yoga. And of course, a special farewell dinner made by our private chef.
Day 5
Feast and Farewells
A slower start for our final day with some yoga & breathwork on the terrace. Then, we'll enjoy one last big breakfast together, and it's time for goodbyes – heading home with tired legs, new friendships and a huge sense of accomplishment.

“I didn't think it was possible for Salt Escapes to live up to the Instagram hype….but it did!! 5 star accommodations. 5 star meals. 5 star service. But at the end of the day it was the people that elevated the trip to the next level. I have new friends for life.”
“It's hard to put into words what I experienced. I think the only way to really describe it would be to say it was pure magic — between the challenging but fun workouts, the incredible homecooked meals, the gorgeous villa, and the amazing staff. This was likely the best week of my entire life.”
“Hands down one of the best holidays I've ever had! Amy and Mike have really created something special with Salt Escapes. Everything felt seamless — the perfect balance of challenging workouts, relaxation, adventure, and connection.”
“Incredible experience. You will have the most amazing and special week, with strangers becoming close friends within a matter of days. It is absolutely not a boot camp, so no pressure to do anything you don't want to, and lots of chance to let your hair down between sessions. This was my third trip, and I can't wait to sign up for more.”
“Phenomenal experience overall. The trainers and hosts were great and brought high energy to the workouts. The food was outstanding! I've probably never eaten so well in my life.”
“The best week ever — incredible coaches and hosts, wonderful people, perfectly balanced itinerary, amazing food. If you're in doubt or nervous, just book the holiday and you'll have the best time.”
“5 stars no question. The workouts were brutal but in the best way possible. I loved the balance with daily yoga, good for the soul and the aches. And the food was spectacular every day. The only problem is deciding which trip to do next.”
“Brilliant balance of challenging HIIT workouts, yoga recovery, and down time to relax and enjoy the island. Every day was fueled by stellar food and great company.”
“I would highly recommend this retreat for solo travellers. Amy and Mike are amazing hosts and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The food is outstanding. The workouts are fun and variety packed. You feel like a mini family by the time you leave.”
“Amy and Mike have created the most amazing experience with Salt Escapes. I've just returned from a week in Zakynthos, and had what is probably the best holiday of my life. Everything from the workouts, to the food, to the excursions to the accommodation, was 5 star.”
“My experience with Salt Escapes was next level. Mike and Amy were amazing hosts. The workouts were challenging, but the coaches are supportive and encouraging the whole time. The food was delicious and the views were insane. I highly recommend this for solo travellers.”
“Couldn't have imagined a better trip. The hosts were top tier people and coaches. The like-minded people who attended I'm already planning to see again. Different from any vacation and exactly what I needed. Will be back.”
